Students experiencing learning, behavior or health difficulties may be referred to the Intervention and Referral Services (I&RS) committee. I&RS is a school based problem-solving group comprised of a group of multidisciplinary education specialists whose purpose is to assist teachers by developing strategies to support students. The I&RS team meets monthly to discuss those students for whom assistance is sought. The goal of the committee is to develop a plan which can be implemented to help the student meet greater success in his or her classroom.  The I&RS team also serves as Bedwell’s section 504 plan committee.​
